Lycopersicon hybrid 'Bush Goliath'

Tomato

Bush Goliath, which is similar to Heartland, produces 3-6 oz. tomatoes.

  • Indeterminate: tomato vines bear all season and tend to need staking.
  • Hybrid tomato - A tomato bred by crossing varieties. Hybrids offer better disease resistance, higher yield, and other improved traits.

Tomato Growing and Maintenance Tips:

Tomatoes are sensitive to cold weather. Do not place outside until night temperatures are above 50°F, cool temperatures can prevent the plant from flowering.

Tomatoes like to be kept evenly moist. Mulch around the base of the plant will help retain moisture. Fertilize tomato plants with product that is labeled for tomatoes and their specific nutrient needs.

Tomato plants that are allowed to dry out or are not fertilized properly may develop Blossom End Rot, or black, rotten spots on the bottom of the tomatoes. If this happens to your plant, remove all the developing tomatoes and discard. The plant should recover after some care and produce tomatoes without this problem.

Plants may need to be staked as the fruit developes to prevent it from falling over.
