The Calientes are an Ivy/Zonal cross. This series has excellent edema resistance and a mounding growth habit that makes them very easy to grow and ship. The Calientes are very versatile plants that can be used in baskets, upright containers, and flower beds. This series also does very well in landscape performance.

The best heat tolerance of any geranium on the market; provides continuous color under the most extreme conditions. Naturally mounding habit provides a dense, full plant at retail.

The Caliente™ Deep Red has a great true red color and is a very prolific bloomer.

  • Use early Florel sprays to improve growth and branching
  • Keep plants well-fed with a media EC levels around 2.0 mS/com
  • Provide high light intensities during production for improved flowering

Geranium Growing and Maintenance Tips:

Water frequently and thoroughly during hot weather

Remove dead flowers and leaves for best display

Feed every 2nd or 3rd watering with a balanced fertilizer, or use a slow release fertilizer at a high rate

Plants grow best with at least six hours of full sun

Watch for caterpillers and bud worms in midsummer
