Caliente is a well-branched, interspecific (ivy/zonal cross) geranium that is commonly grown instead of ivy geraniums. They make great mounding baskets, but can also be used in smaller pots. Early Florel sprays are key to making well-branched, quality plants. Avoid Bonzi drenches on Caliente or stunting may occur. Caliente doesn't appear to be as sensitive to high pH (tip yellowing) as normal ivy geraniums. They have excellent heat tolerance in the landscape.
